Royal Windsor Horse ShowTape no. 12-05-07/1 Location: The headscarf and tweeds were replaced by the more formal haute couture outfit, designer hat and, of course, that handbag, as the Queen returned to the Royal Windsor Horse Show for the second day running. On this occasion, however, Her Majesty wasn't the only royal lady in attendance. It's often said that some members of the Royal Family like to be the only star on show, but the Queen — never a lady to soak up the spotlight — looked utterly delighted upon recognising a familiar face in the Royal Box at Windsor. While her own grandaughter, Zara Phillips, is fast becoming one of the biggest stars in the equestrian world, Princess Haya of Jordan has enjoyed her own success on horseback, having competed in competitions across the globe, including the Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia in 2000. And so it was that the Queen's face lit up on seeing the Princess who was seated close by in the royal box from where both ladies enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment at the showground. Soon enough, though, her public role once again beckoned for the Queen as she was called upon to present the rosettes to the winning riders.
